About

My role is not simply to play music, but to shape the emotional arc of the entire day — from ceremony to the final record — across genres, generations, and cultures.

Philosophy

After decades of club DJing, one truth has never failed me:

The best DJs entertain themselves first — and when they do, the crowd always follows.

When there are no compromises, the dancefloor becomes effortless.

What Sets Me Apart

Many world-class DJs excel within a specific sound. Where I stand apart is live adaptability.

Extremely fast live mixing spanning multiple genres. This creates momentum without fatigue. Surprise without confusion. A dancefloor that never resets — only evolves.

It is not about tricks or effects. It is about continuous musical conversation. This allows true freedom — and that freedom is felt immediately on the dancefloor.

Analog Skill in a Digital World

My journey began on vinyl. We didn’t have visual cues, BPM and key analysis or auto-sync. We had to listen to music.

Really listen. And craft the mixes in our heads. This is not nostalgia. It is musicianship.

This allows me to freely blend music released 40 years ago with tracks released yesterday — including unreleased or obscure music with only a handful of listeners. The result is contrast, tension, and discovery — not predictability.

Musical Taste Over Algorithms

I do not use Spotify or algorithm-driven streaming services. For decades, my primary source of inspiration has been radio shows by highly experienced, world-class DJs — long-form selections where taste, patience, and narrative matter.

This habit has shaped how I play: less instant gratification, more long-term emotional payoff. Music chosen by ear, instinct, and memory — not by software suggestions.

Experience & Foundation

My musical foundation began early, but really took off after high school. I had the privilege to be mentored by professional musicians and academy professors, which shaped my understanding of rhythm, harmony, and musical structure — not just DJ technique.

My musical journey spans over two decades with multiple club residencies. I performed alongside some of the most respected DJs in the world. Our team organized over 150 events in Club SubSub (Ljubljana, Slovenia). Photos are still available on Flickr.

In 2010 my DJ crew released a mixtape, which was featured on Ninja Tune’s Solid Steel, one of the most respected platforms in electronic music culture. Ninja Tune’s broadest beats concept, where multiple genres coexist in a single mix (and somehow make sense), defined who I wanted to be as a DJ.

A Rare Combination

My day job has been software engineering for over 20 years. I’ve developed my own set of DJ tools that allow me to effectively browse, remix and DJ any genre of music.

If circumstances change, equipment fails, or logistics shift — the music never stops, and the quality never drops.

A Note on Value

Most couples will be very satisfied with a €1,000 wedding DJ. If you want your guests to say "The DJ was really good", I'm probably not who you're looking for.

My work is for couples who want their guests to say:

""I didn't know what a DJ really was until this wedding.""

""That night changed how I experience music.""

""I listen to more music now — and I'm genuinely happier because of it.""

That level of impact requires experience, freedom, and absolute commitment.

Why My Fee is Fixed

I do not negotiate my rate. Lowering it would mean delivering a version of my work that I personally would not be satisfied with — and that is not something I am willing to do on a wedding day.

This is not about exclusivity. It is about integrity. Music is a deeply personal form of expression and if we decide to work together, we’ll learn a lot about each other in the process.

Art decorates places. Music decorates time.
